Former Vietnam veteran Danaan Parry and his wife, Jerilyn Brusseau, whose brother was killed in the war, were plagued by wartime memories. To heal the wounds of the past, they decided to visit the former battleground of the Vietnam War and upon its ashes, build a peace park- a place where people from both sides of the conflict could come together and help to revitalize the land. This is the compelling story of 50 former "enemies" exchanging ideas and working together to clear land mines, plant trees, and create the Friendship Forest Park on one of the fieriest battlegrounds of the Vietnam War. Participants and viewers alike have found Peace Trees a transcending experience.
